The High School Placement Test (HSPT), or the Catholic High School Entrance Exam, is the required test for admittance into a Maryland Catholic high school. Some changes have been made for 2009. In the past, the test was only offered on one day, and students were encouraged to take it at their first choice school.
The test is offered on two separate days, allowing students to take it at the location most convenient and comfortable for them. These changes will take some of the pressure off students, especially in regards to feeling that they need to pick a first choice school by the date of the test.
We hope that students choose to take the HSPT at IND, but we understand that students may not be able to attend on the day we are offering the test. Please know that students will not be penalized if they are unable to take the test at IND.
IND will administer the HSPT in December 2010 for the Class of 2015.
Students, please remember to bring:
- #2 Pencils
- $30 Testing Fee (Cash or check payable to IND)
- No calculators
Kindly let us know you if you will attend. RSVP to the Office of Admissions at 410.522.7800.
