Katie Sewell '96: Katie is going to be getting married on November 1, 2008 in Baltimore to Scott Anderson. Her Matron of Honor is Amy Sewell Boyd c/o 1994, and Bridesmaid Meghan Zepp Towers c/o 1997. She is currently a teacher in Massachusetts and was just named a Semifinalist for the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year.
She also just graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Boston with a Masters in Education, Secondary English.
Ashley Lauren Abel: On May 23rd, 2008, Ashley Lauren Abel, IND Alumni Class of 2004, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Ashley is a member of Iota Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, Towson University's Nursing Honor Society as well as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She will begin her new career at Johns Hopkins Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in August.

Stephanie C. Motsay '04, will graduate from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD on May 23rd 2008, and will be commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy.
At the Naval Academy, Stephanie completed the four-year, total immersion program where a strong, balanced academic program, focused on the educational needs of the Navy and Marine Corps, is superimposed on a strict, professional military training environment emphasizing the development of leadership skills. While attending the Naval Academy, Stephanie received a Bachelor of Science degree and was admitted to the Phi Sigma Iota and Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Societies. She served as a Squad Leader, 5th Battalion Administrative Chief, 2nd Regimental 1st Lieutenant, and Commander of the 22nd Company. Stephanie also participated in the Midshipman Action Group, a community relations program offering a variety of educational, environmental, and social service volunteer projects including the Habitat for Humanity Program, Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program, and the Special Olympics.
Following graduation, Stephanie will begin training as a Naval Flight Officer at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida.
Considered one of the top institutions in the country, the U.S. Naval Academy was founded in 1845. The Academy has graduated more than 60,000 men and women. Its graduates have included 4,000 Admirals and Generals, one President, 200 members of Congress, three Governors, 73 Medal of Honor winners, two Nobel Prize winners, and 40 Astronauts.
The Naval Academy has more than 4,000 students who comprise the Brigade of Midshipmen and who come from every state in the union.
Sarah Carson '06 is making her mark in lacrosse, playing for Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Sarah, a former standout while at IND, is playing low attack and achieved a career best game last week.

Mandi Michael '05 has been performing with the Towson University Choir and performed her first solo at a concert on May 6. Congratulations Mandi.
Sara Carter, ’04, was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society at Towson University, in April; Sara was initiated as a member of the Society in Epsilon Alpha and currently maintains a very high GPA while studying Health Sciences and Community Health Education.
