IND will open regular time on February 17
IND will open at regular time tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17, regardless of any inclement weather announcements from Baltimore City or County. There will be no delay and no early dismissal. The regular daily schedule will be followed.
The roads surrounding the school have improved, but parking is still an issue. Parents are asked to please drive their daughters or carpool to school tomorrow. The Fathers Club dug a good path on the Aisquith Street sidewalk, so parents may drop their daughters off along that street. IND recommends avoiding Aisquith Street south of Ashland Avenue; it is not clear.
Please know IND has made every effort to have the roads cleared around IND to include contacting numerous city government officials and private snow removers.
Most of the city streets are quite narrow without parking lanes. Parents are asked to please be patient as traffic is heavier with the limited access on all roads and elimination of most turn lanes. Be mindful of pedestrians walking in the streets, and please note there is very limited visibility on street corners due to the mounds of snow.
