Message from the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors wishes to share with the school community that Mrs. Charisse Wernecke will be stepping down as President of the Institute of Notre Dame to pursue other interests effective June 30, 2010.
 
We want to thank Mrs. Wernecke for her three years of service at IND. During these three years, IND has made significant progress in enrollment, finance, development, marketing, and planning. The new program in biomedical sciences strengthened our academic program, and the initiation of the tablet personal computer program is changing the way teaching and learning happen at IND. The Onyx, e-newsletters, and the enhanced website have improved communication. We are grateful to Mrs. Wernecke for her leadership during the past three years. 
 
The Board of Directors has established a transition committee. Further information regarding the transition will be forthcoming.

The Institute of Notre Dame has educated and cultivated women leaders since 1847. Our vision, recently adopted by the Board, is to be the school of choice for the next generation of women leaders. During this time of transition in leadership, IND remains strong in our academic program, committed to our core values, and strengthened by our close and caring community.
