Welcome to IND

Greetings from the Admissions Office!

Excited about finishing up middle school? Looking forward to starting high school? Choosing the right one can be challenging, but we’re here to help you and your family every step of the way! We are delighted that you are thinking about a Catholic high school education.

We want to better acquaint you with the Institute of Notre Dame and to invite you to become familiar with our excellent academic and extracurricular programs. Founded in 1847, IND continues to strive to transform girls into strong, independent, articulate women leaders. Our young women learn to be inquisitive, motivated learners and to make friends for a lifetime. Taught by talented, committed faculty who work under the guidance and integrity of Christian teachings, IND students select appropriate and challenging courses from our three academic programs: Honors, College Preparatory, and Mother Caroline. In addition, IND offers a rigorous honors program- Theresian Scholars Program. Student may also take a variety of AP courses.

There are so many things to love about IND it’s hard to fit them all into one letter! All of Baltimore is our campus, so you’re not stuck in one place. Forty percent of our girls take Project Lead the Way® programs—Biomedical Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science. Project Lead the Way® is the best and leading provider of innovative STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programs.

Shadow Days are another good way to get to know IND. So many of our students say that’s when they fell in love with our school’s special warmth and friendly girls. Your shadow hostess takes you to her classes so you can experience all IND has to offer. Take a look at the list of our available shadow days on our website at www.INDofMD.org.

We wish you a successful year. Please let us know what we can do to help your search. We so look forward to having you visit IND!

Best Regards,
