Positive Penguin Awarded

IND has launched a new initiative called the Positive Penguin Award.

This award recognizes one student every month that embodies positive character traits and whose small gestures have a big impact around them.

Junior Rachel Johnson '21, was named the first ever Positive Penguin during IND's weekly assembly. One teacher described Johnson as a  “quiet model of IND values.” She has a calm nature along with a sharp mind that is guaranteed to make anyone’s day a little brighter.

Johnson's parents were on hand for the big reveal. They were excited to see their daughter named February's Positive Penguin. As for Johnson herself, she was genuinely surprised by the announcement. Congratulations and keep up the good work Rachel!
